All hail King Raimon I! (also the Silent)įrom there, I began standard blobbing - pushing claims on France, Brittany, and all the shitty kingdoms in Spain, and throwing in the occasional holy war against the Ummayads. The king of Aquitaine (having just kicked out the last Karling on the throne) made him Duke of Septimania, and then in surprisingly short order, accepted Raimon's demand that he abdicate in favor of Raimon's preferred candidate. Good times all round.Įventually, Barral died, and his son, Raimon, took over. This kept making him a vassal of the revolter (stupid game mechanic), so then he'd fight a war of independence. Barral spent his life joining any revolt he could, just for the hell of it. What luck! This made me a one province count. Mysteriously, I inherited both almost immediately. Carcassona started with four vassal holdings, two of which were baronies.

Less neat is how mailing off extra sons to marry foreign duchesses results in "wait, my new character is Frankish/Greek/Moravian?" moments.Īnyway, the Viscount, Barral (the Silent). Kinda neat when I'm suddenly playing as my rival. I've got no real ability to choose my heir - the electors straight up don't give a shit what I think, and even I won't assassinate *all* the other candidates - but I'm guaranteed the tanist will be of my dynasty, so no game over, and they apparently prefer viable rulers with workable stats anyway. Turns out that tanistry is elective on crack. I was able to go tanistry fairly quickly, so I said, ok, I'll try that out. Started out as the Viscount of Carcassona, running HIP (PB, SWMH, etc). They call France the Big Blue Blob I call Aquitaine the Better Blue Blob. I have been having a blast with my latest game. Changed the law tab for republics so that they now properly show the expected successors. Improved cardinal appointment score text and interface a tiny bit

Muslim Special Troops now use the Muslim Horse Archer model, rather than the Western Light Cavalry model Fixed a bug where characters were having their tutor reassigned from the tutor the player had picked for them Your spymaster can now properly persuade other nobles to join your faction. Modified decisions, achievments and events for Indian empires to also trigger for the empire of India. Added missing localisation for coa_plain_pagan and coa_plain_indian. Now properly updates holy sites for Muslim religions. Fixed CTD with tradeposts when resigning game and starting a new old gods game. Fixed CTD when AI is evaluating targets Fixed crash when you hover over dead characters religion icon Fixed a bug where wars against vassals would not start properly, and freeze any plot related to that war. Optimized so interface should seem smoother at all times, less stuttering Optimized AI for elector titles for religions
