More new game modes are on the way, not to mention maps like the fan favorite Call of Duty 4 map Shipment. While it's unclear if Infinity Ward will ever add Ground War Infected to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, there should still be plenty of new content to fans of the first-person shooter to look forward to. Luckily, Infinity Ward has already shown a willingness to offer variations of its various game modes, as evidenced by Gunfight OSP, so Ground War Infected may not be entirely out of the realm of possibility. Whether or not it would actually be fun to play is up for debate, but some fans would like the opportunity to at least try it out. Others still have offered solutions to this potential problem, such as adding a shrinking ring like in battle royale games or maybe simply showing the location of the final few survivors like other games with an Infected game mode have done in the past.Īt the very least, Ground War Infected could be an interesting experiment on the part of Infinity Ward.
